About: Shira Richardson earned a Bachelor of Music from Moody Bible Institute in Voice and an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design and has drafted for various building trades.

She can help you build your vocal technique to reach your singing goals and cultivate healthy elements of making music with your song.

With a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Moody Bible Institute, Shira has sung in various ensembles, around Europe and the USA, on various worship teams and she plays a few instruments for fun.

Taking lessons with Shira, we can work on the building blocks of singing technique, on your goals for vocal performance, making music with your voice for enjoyment or worship. Shira can also assist with technique such as breath control, warm ups, tone, range, pitch, stance, stage presence, freedom, dynamics, color, and also on the style, and genre (classical, folk, some pop, worship, choral, etc).

Whether a student is singing for offertory, in a choir, on a worship team, for old folks at a nursing home, for a hymn sing, to audition, to make a cover or recording, Shira can help you work toward achieving your goals with your singing.

Who will you sing with, or reach with your voice? Shira can assist with development in several genres such as classical, opera, country, pop, contemporary or folk singing.

Often times we are drawn to a sound because it appeals to us, but we don’t always stop to ask what style or genre we are listening to and how the vowels, enunciation, diction, tone, openness, connection, etc. shape the way the sound is communicated and understood to the listener.

Shira thinks of elements of singing as parts of the puzzle that can be put together until it becomes muscle memory and each component of singing is woven together as one, harmoniously creating a beautiful sound and conveying a message! Singing is meant to edify, to be heard, to be enjoyed and is good for spirit soul and body!
